After years of trying various eating methods and patterns, from crash diets, to strict calorie and macro counting, carnivore, KETO and more.. lead me to deep dive and find out WHATS going on. Lose weight - gain it back. THEN I started researching more about HOW the body functions, how the body absorbs foods, nutrients and it stood out like a sore thumb along with all the research = CALORIES COUNT doesn’t matter.
Turns out - you can eat 5,000 calories a day and your body won’t store any one of those calories as fat UNLESS there is insulin present. The insulin released determines IF your body creates fat stores OR uses fat stores. YOU can restrict the calories as much as you like, IF those minimal calories increases the insulin release within - your body will still trigger the switch to STORE FAT. Calorie count DOES NOT MATTER.
This lead me to put together what i’ve learned into a simplified breakdown booklet “Insulin Unlocked: The Real Science of Fat Storage and Weightloss” along with creating the app “Awaken Fat Burning” which allows YOU to easily assess the impact the foods you choose or drinks you consume can have on your body’s insulin response.
